Temple of Amun Ra at Karnak Photo Gallery

The sprawling temple complex at Karnak in Luxor, Egypt's largest temple, employed some 80,000 laborers in its heyday, and was added to by pharaoh after pharaoh, taking over 250 years to build. It is dedicated to the god Amun and has the largest sacred lake in Egypt. The ram-headed sphinxes are the symbol of Amun.
